Max shares an August 2002 birthday with his brother, Samson. He is a neutered black, brown and white  Hound-Shepherd mix. He is house broken and crate trained. Max is great around people of all sizes, other dogs and even cats.  He is current on his vaccinations, heart worm negative and on a heart worm preventative. At approximately 2 months old, Max and Samson, his brother, were left in a cardboard-box to die! When a fisherman found them, they were wet, shivering, starving, flea-infested little balls of fur! They were immediately put in a foster home and have been surrounded with TLC ever since. He lived inside at his first foster home, but has lived in a 20'x40' pen since moving to another foster home (10'x20' of that is totally enclosed, with wheat straw and dog houses ... for comfortable sleeping, you know!) Max is a sweet-heart! He loves to play hide-and-go-seek with you and will smother you in dog-kisses when he finds you! He is one big, lovable baby! But, Max has hip dysplasia. He takes Glucosamine (500 mg.) every day. Max is a good boy about taking his pill. Just wrap that pill in a piece of cheese ... and pill all-gone! You would never know from watching Max and his brother Sam play, that they have hip dysplasia. They will run and play, and slip-and-slide with the other dogs! They just need their daily pill. Max is great around people of all sizes, other dogs, and even kitty-cats. How about giving Max the home he so rightfully deserves?!?

Max's medicine only costs about 9 cents a day. We will send a 3-month's supply with him.
